Well done to all who compteted in the Last Chance Qualifier - that was the last open gala in 2021.  We are now getting ready for Essex County Championships Jan/Feb 2022.

The Essex Mini League is back in action!   Look out for dates

Competitive Swimming

The Maldon Sharks regularly compete in open and invitational galas, the Essex Mini League (EML), Essex County Swim Championships and Swim England East Region Championships.   Swimmers can compete from the age of 9 and will be supported by our experienced coaching team.

Essex Mini League (EML)

The Sharks participate in the Essex Mini League (http://www.essexminileague.org.uk) which is a league of 17 Clubs (Basildon, Braintree, Brentwood, Clacton, Canvey Island,Colchester, Chelmsford, Harlow Penguins, Harwich, Hornchurch, Maldon, Rochford, Romford, Saffron Walden ,Witham and South Woodham) with each club participating in five galas throughout the season with the average number of points scored determining league places.

This is an ideal start for swimmers  as it gives them a chance to experience competitive swimming in a pressure free environment and have fun supporting the team

Swimmers also compete in Open / Invitation events during the year.

Open Meets/Invitational Galas
