A BRIEF HISTORY OF MALDONS SHARKS ACHIEVEMENTS
The club was founded in 2003 with funding from the ‘Awards for All Lottery Scheme’ and was formally known as Wentworth Swimming Club.
The club is affiliated to the ECASA (Essex Counties Amateur Swimming Association) and to the ASA East Region.
Our successes:
2016 14 Swimmers qualifying for the Essex Age Group Championships
2015 12 Swimmers qualifying for the Essex Age Group Championships
2013 Swimmers qualifying for the EAGC and our first Gold Medal WInner in the 9 year old Breaststroke event.
2012 7 Swimmers qualifying for the EAGC
2 swimmers competing in the Eastern Region Championships
2011 4 qualifiers in the EAGC
2 swimmers competing in the Eastern Region Championships
1 swimmer asked to represent the Essex team in the ASA East Region inter-County Championships, a first for Maldon Sharks
